Dallas Rentals on the Rise
If you’re driving through a construction zone in Dallas, it’s most likely an apartment complex being built. With the growing job market, and single-family homes being a hot commodity, the demand for rental properties has inevitably increased. Downtown Dallas and the surrounding areas are gaining more density with people wanting to live close to mass transit and have the ability to do and see everything that the city has to offer. What does this mean for renters? Expect rent to continue to rise with a median one-bedroom unit going for $1260 per month. However, the good news is that there’s still plenty to go around; over 5000 brand new apartments were constructed in 2015 and a whopping 6000 in 2014.
